Menai Illawong Uniting Church welcomes Reverend Viliami (Will) Ma’umalanga to Minister with our Congregation.
My name is Will Ma’umalanga and I am the current minister at Menai-Illawong Uniting church.
I started here in July 2023 as a part of my learning as a student minister. I have been here now for over 2 years and have loved every part of this experience journeying along side Menai-Illawong Uniting church. It has been a very insightful experience and has helped me develop into the minister I hope to be one day.
It has not been an easy road to understand the practical responsibilities of being a minister. But being able to build relationships with people and learn first hand the privilege of ministry has helped me see the blessing that God has given me in this role.
Life has a way of forming us and has a way of helping us to help others. Serving the people at Menai-Illawong has helped me to use all of my experiences to help others, so that others may hopefully find something that I have found in serving Jesus here in this place.
I am still learning and still being shaped by my experiences here, but I praise God for the opportunity of calling me here and helping me to lead the wonderful people of Menai-Illawong Uniting church. I don’t know what the future holds, but being here gives me hope that whatever God is doing in this place, there is heaps of space to rejoice.
